Audiobook read by Stephen Fry.

Parts of this book were interesting and funny. But I also spent a lot of time feeling like I was listening to rambling about crazy stuff.

I vaguely remember the TV series of this but had never previously read the book, despite starting it a few times. I always seemed to get bogged down in the strange names and time travel aspects, and then give up on it. However, this time round I really enjoyed the sly humour and the absurd situations.

Arthur Dent is saved from the destruction of the Earth by his friend Ford Prefect who turns out to be from somewhere near Betelgeuse, not Guildford as he claims. Ford is a researcher for the Hitchh

I have heard about this book for years and decided it was about time I read it.
It was an insane story, funny and inane. By the time I finished it, it was too much craziness but still a great book.
