I vaguely remember the TV series of this but had never previously read the book, despite starting it a few times. I always seemed to get bogged down in the strange names and time travel aspects, and then give up on it. However, this time round I really enjoyed the sly humour and the absurd situations.

I have heard about this book for years and decided it was about time I read it.
It was an insane story, funny and inane. By the time I finished it, it was too much craziness but still a great book.

I know this book is wildly popular. Personally, I didn't think it was funny, and found it a slog to finish.
