I listened to the audiobook of this, read by Jay O. Sanders, and including some audio of the author reading excerpts.
For about the first third of the book, I had to have SparkNotes open on my computer and read a summary of each chapter. I couldn't keep up with the various characters' names, or the out-of-sequence events. It was very challenging at first, and I was unsure if I would grow to enjoy it.
