She says, "Take me home to Aunt Em" which is sweet but such a letdown. This book is 118 years old and stands the test of time. The themes of love, loyalty, and bravery resonate across the years. Listened to the audible version with Anne Hathaway. She annoyed me at first but her voices weren't so bad once I got used to them. I had forgotten how much of this story didn't make it into the movie.

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but the movie is better! The live musical is phenomenal! But the original story is pretty good, too. I bought the collection, so eventually I'll be reading the next 4 in the series. I hope they're good!
