تحكي الرواية عن هانك الأمريكي من مقاطعة كونيتيكيت العامل بمصنع أسلحة في القرن التاسع عشر والذي يسافر عبر الزمن إلى القرن السادس الميلادي ليخدم في بلاط ملك إنجلترا الأسطوري والبطل آرثر. يحاول هانك النجاة ونقل معارف القرن التاسع عشر من كهرباء وتلغراف وقطارات وسفن بخارية إلى عهد آرثر ويحاول توجيه الشعب ناحية المطالبة بحكم جمهوري.

I’m not really sure about this one.
Of course the writing is excellent as Mark Twain’s writings allways are.
The story here was a bit tiny and there would have been much more possibilities. But maybe I feel that way cause I have read allready tons of time travel books?
The characters lacked dept. It reminded me a lot of a cartoon story. But that works well for the funny effect.
Strangely enough, he sometimes is a bit racist in his comments, while at the same time criticizing in the book the socia ...more
