I was going to give this a 3.5 but I decided to give this 4 stars mainly because of the way it made me feel. Frankenstein gave me a warm, familiar feeling that I loved. Maybe that's because I love the original movie so much, I don't know. However, I found out that this book was not like the movie at all, really. This is one of my favorite books of all time. I love the story behind the writing of Frankenstein as well as the actual story.

Mary Shelley creates the classic horror tale. A story of love and creation and the Victorian themes of the destruction of humanity outside the domestic circle. There is no replacement for this original tale of Frankenstein. The language is beautiful, the characters are interesting, the monster draws both sympathy and fear.
