The book has an amazing world building, but the descriptions sometimes were (imo) unnecessarily long and confusing (therefore, I'd recommend reading this book after you watched the movie DUNE by Denis Villeneuve. It made so much more sense to me after that.) Instead some fighting scenes and dialogues could’ve been longer and I would’ve loved to read more about certain characters, especially from Chanis POV. Dune is one of those creatively exceptional books with awesome world building and lore . It had well established the standards of modern Sci-fi sagas and is a classic indeed with its literary contributions to the genre .
This is that unique book for me which , with its creatures , Geography , Characters , Events and their causes , Lores & cultures represented their in feels like a living and breathing ecosystem with its own laws governing itself , though it is about Arrakis the Desert planet yet ...more
