When I first tried to read the story, I was listening to it on audio which was disturbing. I think it was also the abridged version. I tried a second time when my book group selected it and this time, I picked up the physical book. It was a much better experience. Overall, I enjoyed this book that I read for my library discussion group. It had a good mystery and it kept me guessing almost to the end. I think it could have been a little shorter and the story could have moved faster. It was interesting that the story is set in Sweden. I thought that after reading 600+ pages I would be more invested in the characters but I was not.

It was a slow start, but after 150 or so pages I was hooked. This book took turns that I would never expected. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

VERY slow beginning... For me it didn't get interesting until about 150 pages into it.. Thankfully it did pick up and it turned out to be very interesting.
