What can I say. I love this book. This was a favorite of mine as a child, and I just recently reread it for a book group I run at my library.
This story shows how even the smallest, unlikely creature can make a big difference. And I am referring to Charlotte, for she is the true heroine of this book. I always thought Wilbur was a whiny pig, with good reason though. No one expected Wilbur to live, let alone thrive, with the exception of Fern, his human companion.
