O no! I finally found a book where I loved the movie so much more!!!
As far as fairy tales go, this one nested in my heart and will stay there probably for the rest of my life. It is a wonderful book, with characters that love and live and fight without drama but with so much resolved spirit you cannot help but loving them back. And thus, my long-owed duty towards this book ends with happiness, as it should.
It's a good story, but I must say that I am disappointed. Usually, the novel has so much more depth and detail than a movie, but in this case it is the opposite. I normally love Neil Gaiman's work, but I was unimpressed by Stardust. The movie version of this story is much more magical and entertaining than the novel.

Close to five stars but the ending was a bit weak. The movie adaptation was very good too and in some parts actually improved on the book. Still, this book shows Neil Gaimans strength as a writer. Few modern Fantasy authors writes as well as he does.
