Pendergast is such an awesome character. These books have inspired me to read all Preston and Child's joint and singular novels. They are similarly well developed and entertaining, but do not hold a candle to the Pendergast stories. I love having my vocabulary challenged. I appreciate the way these novels are organized and edited; they make for an enjoyable read. Thanks Lincoln and Childs for a great series. Keep them coming.

I really really don’t like the part of CHN government...very wrong and stupid……
And even without that insulting assumption of my country, I didn’t like how Pendergast survived the final confrontation...it felt like an easy way out for me. The book lost that intriguing storyline and beautiful deduction that hooked me so tight in the first place.
I still love Pendergast and his enigmatic characteristics. And I do like Helen. But honestly I can do better without sidelines of Swason and Felder...
