It never ceases to amaze me how these two authors manage to write one fantastic novel after another for their Agent Pendergast series. This latest novel is no exception. I was a little surprised, in a good way, at the beginning of the story when the murder victim is revealed. After all, the victim looked like a good candidate to replace Diogenes, the principle bad guy in several of their earlier novels. It will be interesting to see who takes that role in future novels. Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child have written their latest edition of the Pendergast series especially for us lady fans. I say this because our hero in black, Aloysius Pendergast, is the victim in this novel and it is up to two female heroines to try to save him. Another masterpiece from the famous Preston/Child team! These guys are my absolute favorite authors! This storyline, just like their other books, has a unique theme. I love the oddities of their characters, as well as the spectacular creepy settings! I highly recommend this book to all thriller fans!
