Intense and haunting. Beautiful story of love, loss and humanity.
I've read several of Kristin Hannah's books and although I enjoy them, I did not go into this book thinking I would give it 5 stars. I wasn't sure how well historical fiction would mesh with her writing style. However, upon finishing it I felt there was no way I COULDN'T give it 5 stars.
