What a delight this book is!

The construction is non-standard, timeline fluid, chapter length variable. It is a post apocalyptic tale, but without most of the violence and thriller elements. I was uncertain why one of the characters ended up a thousand mile away from the others after the rest had come together but the story was hopeful, not discouraging.

The writing is clean and flows well. Really, a very good book. I will have to check to see what books beat it out for the Penn/Faulkner award, th
