Better than the first book. In Scarlet, Cinder's story intertwines with Scarlet's, the Little Red Riding Hood counterpart of TLC. It begins with Scarlet Benoit being very troubled about the sudden disappearance of her grandmother and with Cinder escaping from New Beijing to their eventual meeting in France. There were new interesting characters too. ~~Cadet~~ Captain Thorne (I like), a handsome military... erm, deserter from the American Republic-- also, Cinder's new companion (and fellow fugitive). ...more
