I read this novel months ago and reached my conclusion that it's not my cup of tea/coffee. I didn't know why, maybe it's written for those elite readers who have familiarized themselves with Emily Bronte than me. I mean her writing style as well as her plots and words as used a century ago. However, I'd try reading it later if encouraged by some sages out there.

Well... this started unpleasantly and was pretty much unpleasant the whole way through. Appreciable as it was for the historic context, I wouldn't give you tuppence for the entire household.

I have heard about this book since I was young, and being a Jane Austen lover, I guess I kind of expected something similar. Waaaay different! This book was a bit dark for me. I'll give that it was very well written because it definitely got in my head, but not the way in which I like. This book was way too dark and evil for me!
