I read this one in a few days, just as quickly as I finished French's first novel. In this novel, the partner of the first novel's narrator becomes the narrator and focus as she works to solve a different murder. I am reluctant to say too much because I don't want to spoil anything in the plot! There are references to the events of the first novel, so reading them in order would be helpful. But if you happen to come across this one first, don't hesitate to read it!
