I think the setting was beautiful and intriguing because it brought a whole new world into play. I love when authors make up their own world's as a place to play their story and set a basic culture behind it. However, when they put a time and a history behind all the places they make up is when it gets interesting. As soon as Eragon's quest began I couldn't wait to see the whole world revealed to me in intricate detail, from the small towns and the citizens to the great overlords and kings that

This is the first book that Paolini wrote, so some charity must be taken into view. As it is, Eragon is a fantastic book, and a very epic adventure. There are some scenes that leave you breathless, others that break your heart. All these things make this a great book.
