I am going to preface this review with the note that I loved this movie. I was obsessed: watched multiple times, owned the DVD, hung-the-movie-poster-on-my-wall kind of fan. But we aren’t here for a psychoanalysis of my younger self, we are here for a book review almost two decades in the making.
I appreciate the writing of the book. It feels slightly stream of consciousness, and it works. Readers are sucked into the crisis and breakdown the narrator is having, and you’re having it with him.

Great read! I think I would have liked it even more if I hadn't already seen the movie. Kinda ruined the surprise.
