Half way through this book I almost decided to give up on the series, I think it was Shane and Michael's characters that kept me going. Eve and Claire's characters are too YA for my liking. I'm also not loving the premise of the story, but that might be because I was looking for a vampire book, and although there are vamps in this series - they do nothing for me. Awesome book. Great action to it. Not a dull moment. Could not put it down.
This was not what I was expecting. I am glad it wasn't. I was expecting your typical *girl finds out about vamps, girl gets turn into vamp, girl learns to deal with new her. It was not that! YAY. I'm starting to enjoy the main characters. Micheal, Claire, Shane and Eve are a great bunch to follow around. :) on to the next.

FANTASTIC first book in a young adult series!! super different take on the vamp issue...loved the characters & instantly became addicted. ended in a huge cliff hanger so i'll HAVE to read the next!
