I am reading this as part of Austen August. Page Count: 443.
My friend gave me two books for my birthday earlier this year, and this was one of them. She herself had read Longbourn and promised me it was a good book. I picked up Longbourn at the start of August, intending to make it last a couple of weeks by reading it alongside Pride and Prejudice, but nope, I basically devoured this book.

Having read the first few pages, I feared Sarah would be an annoying, ungrateful character, but she turned into a well-rounded and fleshed out girl. Due to her upbringing she starts out very naive and has no concept of the world outside of Longbourn and Meryton. Loved Jo Baker's Longbourn! A must read companion to Pride and Prejudice. P&P is prim and proper while Longbourn is a little seedy and scandalous, just a little. Read it with an open mind.
