I rarely read science fiction, but this book was a standout for me. Imagine Robinson Crusoe set on Mars. Mark Watney is stranded on Mars when his crew thinks him dead. The inventiveness of his strategy for survival is astonishing, and his wry sense of humor is entertaining. The movie should be good.
