A beautiful little gem of a book. Who knew 17th century Amsterdam was so fascinating? Immerses you in the culture and lifestyle of the merchant class of Amsterdam during the heyday of Dutch trading. You become involved in the lives of the characters and intrigued by the miniaturist who crafts the tiny people and furniture for the miniature houses owned by wealthy merchants. If you love historical fiction and well-realized characters, this book is for you.
