Audio. Linger appears throughout the book.

Cole is one of the new wolves. Grace and Isabelle become friends. Cole and Sam are pretty whinning -the voice of Cole was perfect.

Grace's mom and dad are the perfect absent YA-book parents, yet they finally find out that Sam has been spending the night with Grace. I enjoy Stiefvater's word choice.

Shiver ends with Sam running off, Grace and Isabelle believe they have to accept that he didn't make it. Why would there be a book 2, if it somehow doesn't incl

When I first started this book I didn't think it would ever be better than shiver. But I was wrong! This book just gets me from the first page to the last. It makes me smile and it makes me cry.

The new characters in the book are amazing and I really want to know how their lives go on after this book. And the ending just killed me, why did it have to be so sad? I can't wait for the next book to come out.

The first book in this series was a work of art. Generally starting the follow-up to a piece like that, I worry that it won’t be able to recapture the magic of the story that brought me there. Linger was in no way a disappointment, in fact it exceeded my expectations! I was transported immediately back to The Boundary Woods of Mercy Falls, and the magical pack of wolves residing there. The plot was fantastic, drawing from the best of Shiver, but with a dazzling, fresh arc and new characters of i ...more

The relationship between Grace and Sam is beautiful and tragic. I can't wait to see whether or not they finally get to spend their lives together as humans (or even as wolves) in the third. This is definitely a strong middle book. The added insight into Cole and Isabel after Shiver helps tell a full story of romance as a teenager-- specifically the kind of romance that happens when you know that a person is "the one." Maggie Stiefvater's work is well written and full of an understanding of what ...more

This is a really good book! I was looking forward to it and now I can't wait for Forever!
I love the new character of Cole and watching his struggles with his life. I like how Isabel has been incorporated more. Mostly, I love Sam and Grace and hope that everything works out in Forever. Linger left me with a cliffhanger....wanting more...

Really intense and sad book. Like in all good YA novels, the beauty in this book came out of the complicated relationships, and not some crazy, intricate plot.
