With the school year winding down and emotions on high, I found myself in need of a palette cleanser. My go to in these times is the Queen of Crime, Dame Agatha Christie and her Belgian mustachioed detective, the one and only Hercule Poirot. In this one of her later cases which features both murder and international espionage at a girls boarding school, Poirot does not make an appearance until three-fourths of the way through the book. Great book. Takes place in an expensive and fancy girl's school. Hercule Poirot does not make his appearance until the story is almost over when he's asked to investigate by a student. Surprising ending which makes perfect sense ...more
