I finished this beauty at almost 3 am, it's 11 now and I'm in withdrawal!!

I feel like, in terms of plot, this book is the most carefully crafted from the ones I've rerad. Everything changes (not in a confusing way ofc), you just don't know what to expect. The reality of the story unravels itself almost like a detective novel, while Indie tries to makes sense of what's happening to her. And that's why I'm in withdrawal! This aspect of the book was so good, but Indie is very independent and my hea I finished this beauty at almost 3 am, it's 11 now and I'm in withdrawal!!

This aspect of the book was so good, but Indie is very independent and my heart aches for more Indie-Pheonix moments, the few scenes we got were not enough!!

Seriously, these two. Their dynamic is very different from the other couples in the series and I really appreciated it. If you've read my other reviews, you've probably seen that I don't really like when the girl is blind to what's happening but the guy is always in the know. Well with this pairing,
even though Phoenix has all his memories, they are both disturbed by what's happening, or their past. They both make make mistakes, have false beliefs, etc. And I'd dare to say that Phoenix has more.

Indie is the strong one here, she's determined, she wants to be with Phoenix and understand what's happening to her and her friends. Phoenix's attitude might seem surprising when you've come to know him from the other books. We see a complete different side of him. The scorching rock he was in the Insight books just MELTS when Indie arrives in the equation. And who doesn't love a fearless warrior getting vulnerable, huh ?

We also see a lot more of Skylynn, another side of her. It was very nice, considering Willow is not a fan of her, seeing her with Indie's POV was refreshing ahaha. She shows how selfless she can be and I hope Phoenix will give her a break now...

This review is already too long so I'll wrap up in one paragraph. Rivulet is a story full of surprises that will keep you on the edge of your seat. This "family of souls" (hello Charlie) just keeps getting stronger and stronger. Indie is the fire and ice they needed to fulfill part of their destiny. Rivulet is her and Phoenix's new beginning and first real step together in this war of light and dark... ...more

Wow! Simply amazing!! I love Indie - she is dealing with this insane, icy gift that she doesn't understand, but she finds ways to handle it and is able to get on with her life. Plus she has some great friends that stand by her no matter what. Then there's the appearance of this mysterious boy that Indie is immediately drawn to. I was given an arc by the amazing Jamie Maggee and as usual I fell in love with all the characters in this series. Indie and Phonix are super amazing and was enjoyoing getting to know them better. I was ecstatic to find out that this series ties in with insight series as it gives a lot more information on the beginnings of everything. I loved the new male leads and can't wait to see what they get into in the next book as well as hoping the villian gets a much needed butt kicking. I was sad when ...more
