The One was marginally better than the previous two books. America is a little less indecisive in this book, and also a tad more mature. For a change, she attempts to think about people other than herself, and if only she'd been that way at the start of the series, I would have enjoyed these books much more. She still behaves stupidly and selfishly, but at least she attempts to think about others.

I found that this book was harder to put down than the others. We finally get to the end of the selection and America starts to realise her true feelings. However the process is not smooth at all. Even as a re-read this is a grest book that I struggled to stop listening to or reading. In this story America finally realises how she feels about Max and Aspen. However things still are not smooth as they need to meet the rebels and she loses someone that she loves. I loved this story as she finally realises her feelings, though doesnt admit it to Max. This is a great story and with the twist at the end you will find yourself hooked. A great story that I would definitely recommend. Xxx
