Ahhhhh! Why did it have to end?! ⚔️⛵️⚓️🌅 And I have to wait until May for the sequel! 😱😭

So obviously I really loved this book. It was one of my most anticipated for the year and I'm sooo happy it didn't disappoint!

I LOVED the ancient Roman influence, the politics, the fantastical world, the camaraderie and hilarious quips. I love, love, love Teriana, Marcus, Servius, Quintus, Miki & Yedda. I couldn't get enough of any of them! I wasn't at all ready for this to end and having to say goodbye to t ...more

Bumped it up to 4 stars from 3 :)

After reading this one for the third time. I do enjoy it a bit more. It’s just a whole lot to take in but I get that the author is setting the scene and world and it’s inner workings for the next books in this series.

I think my favorite part about Jensen’s writing is her romances. She knows how to make them super angsty and I’m all for that. She also knows how to write a badass female and I’m all here for that as well!

Oh, I loved reading this book, I was apprehensive since I knew it pushed my buttons and characters made bad choices, but it was so good, and I need to continue!

Danielle Jensen has done it again. I am a huge fan of hers so this review might be slightly biased but I loved this book! Her writing is so descriptive and engaging, I bet she could write about dirt and I would be thrilled! I really loved the uniqueness of this book and the whole East must not meet West.
