What Members Thought

It seems everyone has read this book by now. People have been telling me how good it is, how I would like it so much and how it is precisely my kind of book. Even friends who don't read much at all have read this book and suggested it to me.

I'd delayed reading this because it came recommended in the same breath as A Song of Ice And Fire, which I loved at the time but now view as the regretful read of an abandoned series. That was a mistake, as it's beautifully written and drew me in more than any other book or series in years.

This is a step by step account of a beautiful character created by pain and suffering. The magic in this world is realistic and believable. Patrick Rothfuss does a wonderful job in stringing us along the development of the main characters life even as revenge stays perched on his shoulder the entire time. Will he avenge his parents?
