Still as great as ever! If you've seen the Peter Jackson movies (as good as they are), but not read the books, you're missing so much amazing storytelling.

May 2022. For the first time I listened to, and highly enjoyed, the Rob Inglis audio narration. I'm not sure why Goodreads decided to switch all my previous reads to the audio version, but there you have it. Good UX is a challenge.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book again. The story is so rich and detailed and I can relate so many of the struggles the characters face to difficulties I'm facing in my own life. I'm looking forward to continuing with The Two Towers. ...more
