What can I say about this book that hasn't been said already! I was hooked from the first page. I knew nothing of Hadley or Ernest Hemingway. Ashamed to say I never read any of his books. That's what made this book so good, that the author could draw me in and keep me totally involved in their lives. Now I want to read A Moveable Feast and The Sun Also Rises. If I could I would give this book 6 stars!!

I truly enjoyed The Paris Wife. I read it in less than a week. It's not a long novel, nor is it repetitious or unnecessarily long winded. If you know anything about Hemingway, you already know how this marriage, and eventually his life, all ended up but this is mainly about the flip side of how it all began.

Enjoyed the retelling of Ernest Hemingway's first marriage to Hadley Richardson, perhaps the real love of his life. This is a book club book for means I am looking forward to everyone else's opinion. I thought it was very well written and enjoyed reading more about Hemingway's life. (Actually reading Hemingway is another story; although a very forward, liberated diner owner told me he is a " man's" author). I have spent time in Key West and am more aware of Hemingway's life there with Pauline ...more
I gave it 4.5 out of 5 on my blog. Can't do half points on here.
