This is a great literary mystery nominated for the 2011 Edgar Awards.

Very suspenseful tale. Great character development and plot. A page turner!
Franklin's debut novel is a gem! From the eloquent prose, to the suspenseful storyline itself, he has weaved a masterful story that transports the reader to the Mississippi backwoods and the backstory of racial tension, family ties and relationships. Franklin is a storyteller to keep an eye on and I will definitely pick him up again.
