An old-fashioned western novel... Monte Becket, a writer, befriends a drifter, Glendon and follows him out west. I read this based a lot of reviews I read on my online book club website. I like western stories and thought I'd give it a try. The story wasn't as fast paced as I'd like, and it kind of dragged on in places, but it was a good story overall. I liked the ending, except the ending to Glendon's tale. That was so quick and final, I didn't find it very satisfying.
