The Cover of this book hooked me, love it. Girl Waits with Gun is a historical fiction novel set in the early 1900's based on the true story of Constance Kopp who was one of the first female deputy sheriffs in the US. The story begins with the three Kopp sisters heading from their farm into town and their buggy is broadsided by an automobile filled with obnoxious group of men. A fun read.....like taking a little vacation from the world's problems, especially since my last book was about the French resistance during WWII! This book was the story of three sisters who live alone out in the country in New Jersey. They have an unfortunate encounter with an unsavory man who proceeds to attempt to terrorize them. However, the book is humorous and a fun read.

Fun Historical Fiction
I quite enjoyed the book. It was amusing and uplifting. A very easy read and I just was delighted by the Kopp sisters. The fact that most of this story is based on events that actual happened made it all the more fun. Between 3 and 4 stars.
