What Members Thought
This was a strange book. A sort of bleak, spare book. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. I felt for the narrator, I felt for her partner. I was worried the language was going to be a sort of gimmick, but it didn't turn out that way, which was good. It just felt genuine (the narrator learns English as she writes). I felt unsatisfied at the end, and wanted to know much more about how the narrator's life turned out.
