I love how Colleen Houck writes. Her stories always suck me in and I can't put them down until they are done. This is a novella and so it only took a couple of hours to read. I loved see the characters that I already love at a time before the story I know and love was written. It was fun to get to know Yesubai. She was quite an interesting young lady. Her powers were amazing I could totally see why she fell for Kishan. I only wish it were longer because I didn't want to see it end. I can't wait ...more

Another masterpiece from Colleen Houck. And before I begin, can I just say how awesome and hilarious all of the GIFs are in the reviews for this book? Lol I think we all felt that same surprise anxiousness and OMG excitement moment when we first discovered this was happening.

If you're a fan of the Tiger's Curse series then you will love this book. This novel is basically a prequel to the story that we have all come to love. However, it focuses on the *real* story of Yesubai. We knew her as just ...more
