You gotta love a good young adult dystopian science fiction novel, and this one's a great example of the genre. I'd heard nothing but good things about it, and I was really impressed. I think it would have helped me a bit to know going into it that it's the first book in a series--that would have changed my expectations on what an "ending" would have to consist of. As my sister-in-law would say, "It's a Twinkie for the brain." All filler no substance, but fairly entertaining. It doesn't leave you feeling like a person better like a salad. ...more
