I know it's a classic and it's filled with cool mood and ideas, but man did it drag in the middle.

Thinking back through-out the book, I came to realise that not an awful lot happens within the 600 pages of the story. The actual plot is fairly straight forward, the bulk of the book however is made up of the internal monologues of the characters, their thoughts and the subterfuge occuring between the various parties.
