Anna's efforts to get Charles a little relief from killing wayward werewolves, finally are heeded and Bran sends them to Boston to help the FBI with a crazy, long-term serial killer who has suddenly started killing werewolves and the fae.

What I always like about these books is that Anna, once victimized by her former pack is a victim no longer. She is her own hero. Sure that doesn't stop Charles from coming to her rescue, but you always get the sense that had he not shown up, she still would have been ok. She never becomes a simpering victim, and she's smart. I've had this sitting on my shelf for months but I couldn't bring myself to read it, then I noticed it was popping up on my updates feed as friends gave in and read it. I don't think anyone rated it less than 4 stars. So I gave in and I wasn't disappointed :)
