Rereading in anticipation of the adaptation finally airing. I can't believe it's been almost 5 years since I last read this! I bought myself a hardcover copy, which is extremely rare for me. If you're reading this, here's my plea: it's only the first 30 pages that are actively "the world is ending because of this pandemic" - if you can get through that, the book is so worth it.

Only four because something felt unfinished about this book. I can't put my finger on it, exactly, but I felt like I danced around the edges with some of these very interesting characters but never really had the chance to get invested. Enjoyed this book very much, though, and will recommend it to others.
