What Members Thought

I don’t get the hype. I thought this book would be all about the patient. I COULDNT CARE LESS ABOUT THE THERAPISTS BORING LIFE but it was literally the main topic…. 30% of this book was just glimpses into the patients story. These were my thoughts while reading it. The plot twist at the end was good, not mind blowing - I saw it coming. The story had potential but the execution was meh… Don't bother reading it just for the last 20 pages‘ plot twist.
And btw: the fact that the character Elif who is ...more

This book has convinced me, that I am ok. maybe i do not NEED therapy and imma j ride out life. I was reading A Little Life, and as much I enjoy it still, it was super slow and this definitely got me out of a slump I read it in like 3 days which is a record. Slay, the build up was indeed there, just better execution. But i think it works for my ADHD just not in the writers world perspective.
I trusted the narrator and HE LIED TO ME. This is where my trust issues lies.
