Okay, this went from a two star to a four star book. When I first read it, I found the world building really annoying but I've read it again and actually enjoyed it.

So I'm gonna yap for a while. Bear with me.

I went into this book thinking it was more centered around romance but that’s not anyone’s fault. I just saw a ton on social media. This book has a ton of political parts and so don’t go into this expect a big plot of romance.

I definitely hated Cardan in the beginning and I knew that he’d get better based on everything I saw so I just waited and IT GOT BETTER!! TRUSTTTTT

I love Jude though and she is definitely one of my favorite FMC I’ve read in a while. Jude had to suffer through so much. ...more

Ignore the fact that it took me 2 weeks to finish this 😭 I promise I really did like it though! I honestly can’t decide on the rating, because on one hand I loved it so much and would give it five stars,but it took me two weeks to finish, which says a lot. I loved the writing style, the politics, the characters, the worldbuilding, and everything else so much. I think it did need more romance though.
