seeing all the mixed reviews for this book had me a little nervous bc usually i'm on the side where i didn’t like the book, so i went into this with low expectations. i’m surprised 😭 it definitely wasn’t perfect and i do still have mixed feelings about a few things, but overall i really enjoyed it. emily henry’s writing ...more

Emily Henry never misses, and marketing her books as just a romance feels like such an insult. This book is so much more than that. I read SO MANY romance books by so many different authors, but I always am running back to hers. Emily Henry writes love, not romance.

Loved the atmosphere and the layered storytelling—Alice, Hayden, and Margaret all felt so vivid. The mystery kept me hooked, even if the romance sometimes faded into the background.
