this was my first emily henry and while i don't think it'll be my last, i'm still mulling on my actual thoughts for this book. i finished it in the middle of the day meaning i have no 2am excuse so i'll just say that i have no clue what to say. you know what, lets be cutesy and demure and have bullet points. wow, those exist, amazing observation jo.

i finished this earlier but i was at work so i’m just here now
and won’t be for long cause i am desperately needing a night of sleep cause tomorrow is another ER shift day (3rd in a row, who loved it? not me)

but this was SO GOOD
emily henry has definitely done it again
the book was so beautiful and i loved the evelyn hugo vibes with all the interviews and povs of another story

Emily Henry never misses, and marketing her books as just a romance feels like such an insult. This book is so much more than that. I read SO MANY romance books by so many different authors, but I always am running back to hers. Emily Henry writes love, not romance.

This was honestly a really cool book. I've never read anything with a plot like this. The story had me so confused for a while because I didn't understand the point, but Emily always brings it back together so I don't even know why I questioned it. Anyways the truth behind it I had a hunch about with Hayden... I was off but my hunch was valid. I just wish we got to know Alice more I guess. We got a really good look into her house but the fear about her sister & not making it to her room in time ...more

I ate this up! My new favorite Em Hen book (behind Beach Read, of course)! For the small town, summer vibes alone this book is 5/5. You get the best of both worlds—romance with a bit of mystery—as this is not her usual style. The ability she has to paint the beauty of life and love through romance in her writing is truly amazing! 5/5 ⭐️!!!
