this was my first emily henry and while i don't think it'll be my last, i'm still mulling on my actual thoughts for this book. i finished it in the middle of the day meaning i have no 2am excuse so i'll just say that i have no clue what to say. you know what, lets be cutesy and demure and have bullet points. wow, those exist, amazing observation jo.

middling romance, instalove, a hundred corny breakups and makeups when they're not even in a relationship yet, forced forbidden romance (het couple in 2025, what could possibly be that serious for you), and then the married with a child hea are we for real???

mediocre plot. i was somewhat invested in margaret's story, but most of that was her caginess and inability to be straightforward rather than what was actually going on with her life. the big finale was actually so stupid it ...more

This was honestly a really cool book. I've never read anything with a plot like this. The story had me so confused for a while because I didn't understand the point, but Emily always brings it back together so I don't even know why I questioned it. Anyways the truth behind it I had a hunch about with Hayden... I was off but my hunch was valid. I just wish we got to know Alice more I guess. We got a really good look into her house but the fear about her sister & not making it to her room in time ...more
