“Fascinating isn’t it how often heroic and foolish turn out to be the same thing.”
I really really wanted to like this book, and I kind of did, but there was also so much I didn’t like and honestly it’s probably a me problem not the book’s problem. First of all I don’t love villain origin stories, it’s harder for me to get attached to a character if I already know they're going to spend most of their time chopping heads in a few years. The whole concept is incredible and all the references to alice in wonderland were perfection..and JEST?! I’m in love with this book…
