Heartbreaking!! I loved this book and found myself wanting to pick it up and keep reading even though it so intimately discusses the German invasion of France. So many books I’ve read during the WW2 time period always seems to discuss the war at arms length but this novel puts the reader right in the middle of occupied France and the hardships that Parisians faced during this time. Beautifully written.
