What Members Thought

Being that Rainbow Rowell is from my hometown, all of her books are on my TBR shelf, though I had not yet made my way to Carry On. Quite Potter-esque, as many have said, but I love Harry, so I enjoyed the feel. Loved the character development and the storyline; Simon and Baz are both new all-time favorites. Looking forward to reading Wayward Son. Wonderful job, Rainbow!

Simon is the worst Chosen One ever. I knew this book would end the way it did, sort of. I mean it's not unpredictable or predictable. Not as god as JK obviously, but it's a unique twist on Magic. I love how common phrases are spells instead of some dead language. Simon is very sweet and Baz is a jerk (sometimes), but also a romantic. I enjoyed this; it was very cute and sweet. I absolutely adore this book! I read it a few months ago and am currently listening to the audiobook. I think I am even more in love with this story, if that is possible!

Slow start but solid. At times it really felt like Harry Potter but I think it became more original as time went on.
