Okay, this one had me on the fence for majority of the book I think, until I hit chap21. I wasn't sure how I felt about Hawk, and Gwen in alot of ways, seemed way too familiar to another character, of one of Ms. Ashley's other books I've recently read. But the story kept me intrigued and alot of times on edge a bit. Wanting to know what was going to happen, and most importantly, what's the point of this story.

Tack, Hawk, Mitch, Brock, and Elvira; were the best things in this book. Though Hawk was on my crap list too, for majority of the book.

It's been years since I read this and I still feel the same way, except for some reason I understood why Gwen allowed her "relationship" with Hawk to be what it was at first more this time around. Would I do it, hell no. But I get it.
I also think I'm a bit pettier, because I was thinking I would have been acting just like Gwen when Hawk promised to be gentle with her, but when shit hit the fan, he did the opposite. Even when he exp ...more

Just wrapped up, and I have to say, technically this book should not work for me at all. Seriously, if any other author had crafted characters like Hawk and Gwen, I'd be rolling my eyes and tossing the book out the window. But somehow, Kristen Ashley made it work...again! 🤣
