I will just get out of the way what left me wanting with this one... More back story on Raiden. I mean the book is his book. The dark things that he has seen and done in his life still greatly affects him when he and Hanna become a couple. Yet we are not shown or told exactly, I mean not really, what is the cause of it. We're told in a very glossed over way that kinda allows you to draw your own conclusions as to what happened to him. But we are not given any hard facts as to what "it" was. I feel that since we are shown countless times how it's affected him, we should have had more insight as to what it was. I love Raiden but I'm also still left with the feeling that I don't really know him. What really makes him tick and why.

I also wanted more of Raiden's POV. We didn't get it nearly enough. I think Hanna stole the show from the star of this novel when it came to this aspect. There was no equal POV time with these two. I wanted more interactions with his "job" his mind set when he was on a job and away from Hanna etc.. This was his chosen profession. I wanted to see more of him in action. Even more of his POV when they (he and Hanna) were together would have been nice as well. I'm just missing the balance in this respect with this story. I also think if these things were present this novel would have been a bit longer and definitely more intriguing for me.

Hanna while very sweet, giving, and with a caring heart was just not all that interesting to me. Her and Raiden have great chemistry, but like I said, the book is called "Raid" so I needed more of him in it and less of her.

When you meet this man, you will understand why ;)

I love Hanna's Great Grandma. She was a pistol and so reminded me of my grandmother. There were some really sweet, hilarious moments with this woman.

The drama/suspense that we do get in this one is on point. I did like the way certain things came about and unfolded. It kept me interested and eager to know what was going to happen. Of course the visits from Knight & Creed were a welcome addition as well.

Still, this one felt a bit rushed to me and ended rather abruptly. I wish we could have gotten a bit more of what I mentioned above.
That being said, this story is still a good addition to the Unfinished Heroes series and I would recommend this read. ...more

This is a reread for me. I really want to love this book. Everything is there for an exceptional classic KA read. It's just off the mark some, she hit the target but not the bullseye. At first I thought Hanna, the h, was gonna send me over the edge. I won't get into the details of it but, she just seemed ridiculous to me. Hanna has had a crush on Raiden since she was a kid. She admittedly states that her behavior, since they have been an adult and he has been back in town, has been stalkerish.

Could barely get through this when I read it the first time. It does not feel like an Unfinished Heroes novel. The heroine was pretty annoying and boring to me as well.

Raid. Who is he? Do we really even know?
