This is the third book by Emily Henry I read and I love how she's able to write relatable characters that spoke to me on a personal level. This was a ex lovers to lovers story, but also a found family kind of romance. There were so many parts of this that I loved but the ending just didn’t come together in a satisfying way for me. I’m not saying I needed more of a HEA, but I was disappointed in the conclusion. You’ve made it through so much and then…fizzles out.

Also, can we talk about how deceitful this cover and title is?? It looks so happy and fun and bright and then this book was actually really sad.

Emily Henry is quickly becoming a must read for me.

I am not a big straight romance reader but her books are so much more.

I loved the friendship dynamic in this and the need to choose yourself. I also love the way she delves into the weight of others expectations.

As someone who moved away from her two best friends, this spoke to my soul and I love how the other describes the feeling of finding your family and holding on tight.
